Lodi School District Receives Funding Through Lodi Utilities for Energy Saving Projects

Lodi Utilities provided $15,000 in funding for several projects throughout the Lodi School District. The funding was made available through WPPI Energy, Lodi Utilities' wholesale power provider.

The projects created energy-saving opportunities. The Lodi High School pool was able to upgrade their air handling unit. This upgrade generates almost $28,000 in utility cost savings per year and provides better air quality in the building. Additionally, the Lodi Middle School and the Lodi High School updated interior lighting to LEDs, which will save about $13,000 annually. Finally, the Lodi High School updated exterior lighting to LED lights. This update equals roughly $1,300 in annual electric savings. The new LED exterior lighting can also last about ten times longer than existing pole lights.

As a local, not for profit utility, Lodi Utilities supports investments that save money for the community.
