Property tax bills for the City of Lodi are now available. Copies of property tax bills were mailed the week of December 10. Additional copies are available by either contacting City Hall or entering your property address on the Columbia County Property Database.
Taxes can be paid in a lump sum or in two installments. The lump sum or first installment must be received at City Hall by January 31st via mail, online payment, or in person payment. If you send your payment via mail and would like a receipt, please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope. The second installment must be paid to the Columbia County Treasurer in Portage by July 31st.
The city tax rate is determined after the approval of the budget by the Common Council in October or November. In addition to your municipal taxes, your bill includes taxes levied by other taxing jurisdictions, any outstanding special assessments, garbage and recycling charges, and any delinquent amounts owed on utility bills.
If you do not make at least the first installment amount by January 31st, the total tax bill comes due immediately and interest and penalty charges begin to accrue.
