The City of Lodi encourages residents who choose to participate in Halloween Trick-or-Treat do so safely by following CDC and State Dept. of Health guidelines. The designated date and time for Halloween Trick-or-Treat is Saturday, October 31 from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
In-person or face-to-face trick-or-treating carries a risk of spreading Covid-19. Therefore, the CDC and State Dept. of Health Services are not recommending face-to-face trick-or-treating. Residents who decide to trick-or-treat should practice all recommended safety precautions such as the following:
- Avoid large groups and direct contact with trick-or-treaters
- Hand out treats outdoors
- Set up a station with individually bagged treats for kids to take
- Observe social distancing
- Wash hands before handling treats
- Wear a mask
Remember, stay at least six feet away from people who do not live in the same household. Indoors and outdoors, getting or spreading COVID-19 is more likely when in contact with others for a long time.
