Animal Licenses & Registration

Animal Licenses and Registration

Dog Licenses

Dog licenses are issued on a calendar basis and are required for all dogs over five months of age. A copy of the rabies certificate must accompany the dog license application for each dog. Licenses renewed after March 31 will include a $5.00 late fee per dog. Please write a separate check for each if paying for taxes and dog licenses at the same time. If licensing more than one animal, please complete an application form for each.

Once issued, the dog license tag must be affixed to the dog's collar.

Payment Options

  1. Drop off payment, application form, and a copy of the rabies certificate to City Hall during business hours, Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (excluding holidays). Include a self-addressed envelope stamped with the correct postage to mail the license back.
  2. Drop off payment, application form, and a copy of the rabies certificate any time to the utilities drop box located on the exterior of the entrance to City Hall. Include a self-addressed envelope stamped with the correct postage to mail the license back.
