Building Permits & Inspections

The City of Lodi contracts with an outside organization for building inspection services. Most construction projects within the City require a building permit, a zoning permit, or both. Please contact the building inspector before beginning any construction or remodeling project.

The building inspector answers questions regarding building code interpretation, enforcement, and fees. Questions concerning City ordinances that relate to building inspection should also be directed to the building inspector.

Review of the building permit application determines the building permit fee. Fee payments can be made at City Hall via cash or check during regular business hours.

Contact the building inspector to schedule an appointment for inspection. Inspections are available Monday through Friday.
